4th Annual Trivia Night Food Bank Fundraiser

January 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This year’s Trivia Night Fundraiser will be held in memory of Susie McDonell, a long time supporter of the Chamber and community of East Hants. The idea of a fun trivia event to raise funds for the foodbank was initially Susie’s and we are proud to hold this year’s event in her memory. This year’s event will be held virtually January 27th!

There will be an online silent auction. If you wish to donate a silent auction item, please contact Tracey at (902) 883-1010 or email a picture and discription of the item to info@ehcc.ca.

For a copy of the donation letter please click here.

CLICK HERE to register your team!  Sign up options are available for individuals $25, or it’s even better to play as a team/group as you’ll have time to work together and laugh built in throughout the evening. Teams of 5 can register for $100.

Our host for the night will be Adam Aldred, and his brand of trivia is called Lightning Trivia with Adam. We chose him, because his events are fast-paced and varied, and allow for you and your teammates to put your heads together and tackle eight different exciting rounds of questions, including:

Round 1: Visual Round
Round 2: List Round
Round 3: Family Feud Round
Round 4: Category Round
Round 5: Wheel of Fortune Round
Round 6: Rhyme Time Round
Round 7: Music Round
Round 8: Lightning Round

This likely doesn’t look much like a ‘regular’ trivia you’ve done before. It is so varied that even if you feel that you don’t have a great knowledge base for one area, you will contribute in some of the other rounds. Once registered, you will be sent a login for the Zoom platform; it is very easy to use. (Haven’t used Zoom before? Watch this short video to learn how easy it is to use sign onto a Zoom meeting.) Adam will create “breakout rooms” for the teams as everyone logs on. This will be a virtual space for the teams to have a private place to discuss the answers to the questions. When the trivia game starts, everyone will see the questions on their screens and be given time to write down their answers.

Also, the event will be self-scored, which means that no one else will need to know how you did, unless you want them to know, so the pressure is completely off. Just join us, support a great cause, and in return you’ll have an extremely fun evening.

For any further information and questions please call (902) 883-1010 or email info@ehcc.ca

As in previous years we have collected donations from the local business community for a silent auction to increase our funds raised for this important event. The foodbank needs our help this time of year and now even more so in this time of COVID-19.
