3rd Annual Celebration of Workplace Education Programs in East Hants

Date: Tuesday November 12th

Time:

  • 7:00 – 7:30 pm Mix and Mingle
  • 7:30 – 8:30 pm Celebration and Presentation of Certificates 

Place: East Hants Sportsplex, Todd Hunter Room

Everyone who has participated in an East Hants workplace education program between 2012 and 2019 is invited to a celebration! We will be celebrating the benefits of the 80 workplace education programs that have taken place for local businesses over the past seven years. To RSVP visit: EHCC WEP Celebration.

New in 2018, the East Hants & Districts Chamber of Commerce (EHCC) started to recognize that many local people in business have completed a group of workplace education programs. That business investment, hard work and accomplishment are being recognized with EHCC Business Pathways Certificates. Below are the requirements for each Pathway Certificate.

Please send an email to: info@ehcc.ca by October 30th, 2019, to tell us which programs you have completed to make you eligible for a Pathway Certificate.

Financial Pathway Certificate – You are eligible to receive EHCC’s Financial Pathway Certificate if you have completed any 3 of the following programs:

  • Dollars & Sense
  • Dollars & Sense Plus
  • Sage 50 Part 1
  • Sage 50 Part 2

Leadership Pathway Certificate – You are eligible to receive EHCC’s Leadership Pathway Certificate if you have completed any 3 of the following programs:

  • Communications / Building Stronger Business Relationships
  • Powerful Presentations Level 1
  • Powerful Presentations Level 2
  • HR or Performance Management
  • Transformational Leadership Level 1
  • Transformational Leadership Level 2

Technology Pathway Certificate – You are eligible to receive EHCC’s Technology Pathway Certificate if you have completed any 3 of the following programs:

  • Excel
  • Online Apps for Business / Cloud Computing
  • Technology for Business – Microsoft Office (Intro/Level 1)
  • Technology for Business – Microsoft Office (Level 2)

Marketing Pathway Certificate – You are eligible to receive EHCC’s Marketing Pathway Certificate if you have completed the following programs:

  • Either Marketing OR Online Marketing

And any 2 of:

  • Online Visibility (Advanced Social Media)
  • Built a WordPress Website for Your Business
  • Intro to Social Media
  • Powerful Presentations

Website Pathway Certificate – You are eligible to receive EHCC’s Website Pathway Certificate if you have completed all of the following programs:

  • Build a WordPress Website Part 1
  • Build a WordPress Website Part 2
  • One of: Online Visibility (Advanced Social Media), Social Media, Marketing or Online Marketing

Business Foundations Pathway Certificate – You are eligible to receive EHCC’s Business Foundations Pathway Certificate if you have completed at least one program from each of the following 4 pathways (described above):

  • Finance
  • Leadership
  • Technology
  • Marketing

EHWEP is the project team that oversees workplace education programs for businesses in the East Hants area. EHWEP is part of the Chamber’s Education Committee. EHCC also administers the programs. EHWEP includes representatives from
