Spring into Spring Business & Community Expo

The East Hants & Districts Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Anita Hamilton and Ovarian Cancer Canada to bring you the Spring into Spring Business & Community Expo on April 16th. The EHCC believes this is a great opportunity to showcase local businesses and to grow awareness of what East Hants has to offer.

Anita Hamilton is a 11-year survivor of ovarian cancer from Enfield and wants to celebrate and give back. She plans to celebrate survival, to educate people about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Canada. (www.ovariancanada.org)

The “Spring into Spring” expo will showcase community resources, local businesses, food, art, handcrafts, products and services. Local musicians will entertain us, and lunch and snack items will be available for everyone’s enjoyment. The event is at the Enfield Fire Hall on April 16th from 10am-2pm.

There will be a free-will offering at the door. Donations of $15 or more will be given charitable tax receipts.

Businesses interested in contributing to the event can contact Anita to:

  • Make a minimum donation of $50.00 (fully receipt-able by OCC) to participate in “Spring into Spring” to demonstrate your product or service and have items for sale
  • Offer an item or a service for the silent auction, and/or
  • Offer a financial contribution to Ovarian Cancer Canada that will be presented on your behalf at the event on April 16th.

There are limited tables available for vendors so please do not delay. Deadline to book and submit your donation for a table is April 1st. The first step is to contact Anita @ 902-883-9611 / wintergreenfarm@bellaliant.net

Do you stay where you’re at or do you set sail? It can be hard know.

So the question for you this Monday morning is: Will you stay at the shore this week? Or will you prepare to set sail? Or will you launch?

Ever wonder what the Chamber of Commerce does when not hosting events?

Many of you may not know that there are volunteers, who are business folks such as yourself, working behind the scenes, advocating for the businesses on important issues surrounding COVID, and also community issues, such as Doctor Recruitment, Affordable Housing and Public Transit. They meet with government officials to discuss the important issues and often join forces with other organizations that are focused on the same goals and outcomes. We understand the importance of a strong community.

If you are experiencing any roadblocks or issues, we want to hear from you. You can reach us at (902) 883-1010 or email us at info@ehcc.ca.
